DESERT HILLS ANIMAL HOSPITAL
If we see a patient for an appointment or a surgical procedure there is a good chance that there will be some care needed to be given at home. Here are some of the questions that we get:|
When can I feed my pet?
If your companion was under anesthesia then eating too soon can cause a patient to vomit and have other problems. Normally we recommend you offer ice cubes when you get home. A small bland meal can be given early evening. But always check with the instructions normally given when you picked your pet up from the hospital.
How do I give medicine to my dog?
Some dogs are much easier than others. Some medications have special instructions about when, how or with what they can be given. You will have received special instructions with the particular medication if necessary.
